Chevrolet is an American automaker that was founded on November 3^rd, 1911.  Chevrolet, commonly referred to as "Chevy" is a division of General Motors (GM) and is known as one of "The Big Three".  That term includes Ford, Chevrolet, and the Chrysler Corporation as it refers to the three major auto manufacturers rooted in Detroit, Michigan history. 

Chevrolet has earned their stripes as a legitimate player in the current and past car, truck and SUV markets.  They have continuously produced trucks and passenger vehicles that make the competition reconsider their own vehicles.  The company also has deep roots in producing high-horsepower speed machines that can easily take your breath away!

Chevrolet has also had success with electric (EV) and hybrid vehicles.  While the EV department has been streamlined, the company has offered the Volt and hybrid versions of the Malibu in recent years.  The Chevy Bolt is their current production model in the EV segment.  However, you should keep your eyes peeled for the new comers, including the All-Electric Silverado, All-Electric Blazer and the All-Electric Equinox!
